Overview of job
- Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Planning to join us. This position gives the opportunity to work for a mix of global clients, including one of Vietnam’s largest advertisers, as we evolve our relationship with them to drive deeper connection with consumers.

Reporting of the role

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
- Integrated into a team handling a wide-ranging portfolio of brands, sharing your experience on how we can drive further efficiencies in how we are working.
- Learned and demonstrated knowledge of the clients’ business and how Mindshare can support them.
In six months:
- Taken full responsibility on assigned brands for delivering best practice communication planning across all channels, driving innovation for the client.
- Ensured that direct reports are showing clear development.
In 12 months:
- Driven strategic direction for clients, and translated into actionable execution.
- Ensured all Mindshare client KPIs achieved.
What your day job looks like at Mindshare:
- Should have a sound knowledge of media planning principles, and be able to guide the client on investment queries, and identifying opportunities to drive innovation for the client.
- To proactively lead the overall communication planning, implementation planning process to process to provide insightful communication plans with support from the senior members of the team during the strategic phase.
- Work with the clients to arrive at the best process/ systems for managing their business.
- Supervise all work, in terms of its quality, accuracy, insightfulness and innovation.
- Manage the team day-to-day acting as a mentor to junior employees. Conduct annual and interim appraisals of team members in a thorough and professional manner, ensuring that there is continuous development and learning.
- Take part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communications solutions as and when required to do so.
What you’ll bring:
- Highly evolved presentation and reporting skills.
- Experience in managing multiple work streams and integrating on large projects and teams.
- Demonstrated experience and success working in a client facing role, with FMCG experience an added advantage.
- A depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
- A passion for data, insights and ideation.
Minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience, spent working on media/communications planning related business. Digital knowledge is a plus.
- Strong Communication and Good Presentation Skills.
- Strong at managing and motivating employees, clients and suppliers.
